On-Campus Housing

Housing

Students studying with the ELI stay in on-campus residence halls while at MSU during late May, June, and/or July. Unfortunately due to occupancy maximums, groups studying at MSU from August to mid-May must find and stay in off-campus housing.

MSU residence halls have:

  • convenience to campus and to dining facilities
  • comfortable living accommodations
  • kitchen facilities
  • a helpful staff
  • the opportunity to meet many new English speaking friends

Each residence hall room contains:

  • beds
  • closets with drawers
  • desks
  • chairs
  • cable TV
  • small refrigerator/microwave oven

There are over 30 apartment complexes in Starkville. Prices vary according to the proximity to the campus, room quality, and the size of the apartments. Rental rates range from about $475 to $750 per month. Students who wish to rent an apartment should come to Starkville three to four weeks before classes begin in order to find a suitable apartment.

Information about apartments in Starkville can be found with the Greater Starkville Development Partnership or through Off Campus Student Services.
