Mississippi State University was founded in 1878 and is one of the largest public universities in the southeastern USA. MSU, or the "People’s University," promotes learning, service, and research. We are famous for our research in engineering, forest resources, veterinary medicine, agriculture, business, and architecture, but we also have strong programs in the humanities fields.
A day in the life of an MSU student can be anything he or she wants it to be - whether it's studying under a tree near the Drill Field or playing soccer on the intramural fields. We hope you'll join our diverse student body and experience Mississippi State for yourself.
Generations of graduates stand behind the seal of Mississippi State University promoting learning, service, and research. When strolling through the campus, students see evidence of our strong history in the campus’s monuments and buildings. Every student that enrolls at Mississippi State University becomes part of our history. For more information about student life at MSU, please visit http://www.msstate.edu/web/about.
