04/21/16- Internationally Recognized Archaeologist to Speak to MSU
Internationally recognized archaeologist, Dr. John Cherry, will be the featured speaker for the Institute for the Humanities spring lecture Thursday, April 21, at 4 p.m. in the Colvard Student Union Foster Ballroom. In his presentation, Cherry will describe his technology-based and cutting-edge explorations of the Caribbean island of Montserrat that he is conducting before Soufrire Hills, Montserrat's regularly erupting volcano, destroys all of the physical evidence. Cherry will not only speak on his research, but will show how this research and archaeology as a whole affects the human condition. Join the Institute for the Humanities and the Cobb Institute of Archaeology as they host this insightful event. The event is free and open to the public.
