With funding awarded by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy of Santiago, Mississippi State University (MSU) and Universidad de Chile (U de Chile) co-hosted a workshop on exchange and entrepreneurship studies titled “US-Chile Bilateral Workshop on Building Capacity for Student Exchange.” Faculty experts in student exchange and entrepreneurship from five U.S. institutions and five Chilean institutions assembled with the objectives of: (1) increasing the exchange of students studying in U.S. and Chilean entrepreneurship ecosystems, (2) developing a report highlighting best practices leading to a pilot exchange program with funding from U.S. and Chilean public and private sources, and (3) establishing a network of U.S. and Chilean universities to pilot an exchange on the topic.

A Memorandum of Agreement on student exchange between MSU and U de Chile’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEN) was signed, initiating the opportunity for students to study abroad in Chile and to strengthen our commitment to further develop relations with Chile and South America.
