OSA Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual and in-person advising sessions with students
- Recruit students through general events on campus
- Participate in college specific Interest Sessions, Preview Days, Academic Insight Fairs, etc.
- Host Fall and Spring Study Abroad Fairs
- Conduct required in-person student Outbound Orientation prior to program departure
- Risk Management
- Support Faculty Director throughout process
- Assist Faculty Director with budget preparation
- Create online application for each program
- Create standard marketing materials for each program
- Charge program fees to all students’ accounts (OSA does not collect any money)
- Transfer student program fees to departments
- Create courses on Campus 8 and give students permission to register
- Purchase international health and evacuation insurance for each student and faculty member
- Provide Faculty Director with emergency contact and health information for participants
- Enroll Student and Faculty in STEP
