The Office of Study Abroad (OSA) offers the students of Mississippi State University the opportunity to explore academic opportunities outside of the United States. Multiple types of programs are available to MSU students and each type is described below. To search our program catalogue click here.
MSU Faculty-led Programs
Faculty-led programs are short term programs led by MSU professors, typically offered over spring break and the summer.

Mississippi State University holds tuition exchange agreements with a number of universities abroad.

Exchange programs are usually semester in length and pre-approved course credits will transfer back to MSU. Students will pay their regular tuition to MSU, not the host university. Click here to apply.
Affiliated Provider Companies
If students are not able to find suitable Faculty-Led or Exchange options, we recommend they use our affiliated third-party companies or attend one of our Affiliated Exchange Universities.
The following companies typically handle housing, course registration, insurance, excursions, and more. All payments are made to the company and pre-approved course credit will transfer back to MSU. Some programs offer service learning or internship options too. Our affiliate companies include:

*Students who participate in a Provider Company program must complete an application through the provider company's website and through MSU. The provider's application is the primary application. Once that application has been started, students also need to create and complete the application on the MSU website. Among other things, this application is where students will sign their Risk and Release form and receive their Course Approval Form to be signed by the Registrar to guarantee transfer of course credit to MSU.
International Internships
Students have the opportunity to complete an internship abroad while earning course credit.
International internships are available for MSU students through our partner companies. These companies typically handle internship placements, housing, course registration, insurance, excursions, and more. All payments are made to the company and pre-approved course credit will transfer back to MSU. More information and locations can be found below:

*Students who participate in an internship with one of our Provider companies must complete an application through the provider company's website and through MSU. The provider's application is the primary application. Once that application has been started, students also need to create and complete the application on the MSU website. Among other things, this application is where students will sign their Risk and Release form, receive their Course Approval Form to be signed by the Registrar to guarantee transfer of course credit to MSU and to ensure they maintain their MSU student status.
